Smoking CBD Hemp Flower

Updated: Jan 15

Have you tried hemp oil and gummies, but you’re looking for another way to enjoy the benefits of hemp? If so, let me recommend CBD flower, also known as, hemp flower.

This is the plant form of CBD before it gets extracted and formulated into high-quality hemp derived products. A more affordable option for those looking to feel the immediate benefits of CBD.

Let’s answer some questions you may have!

What is Hemp (CBD) flower?

Hemp flower is one of the popular components of the hemp plant. Hemp plant seeds, pigment, leaves, stalk, and roots are all extremely beneficial to our bodies and environment. However, the flower itself has the highest concentration of CBD.

You may hear users refer to flower as nugs or buds. Their appearance and smell are extremely similar to those of the cannabis plant. In contrast to cannabis buds, hemp flower is naturally low in THC and high in CBD. We’ll get more into this later.

Is Hemp Flower Federally Legal?

The Farm Bill released in 2018 states: “…hemp is defined as the plant Cannabis Sativa L, or any part of that plant, including seeds, derivatives, and extracts, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.”

Therefore, CBD hemp flower is 100% legal as long as lab tests confirm the percentage of THC, the psychoactive compound also found in cannabis, is equal to or less than 0.3%.

Please reference Eccotherapy’s lab reports. You can find each lab report by viewing product photos. You will notice the hemp strain, Suver Haze, has 22.51% CBD and 0.18% THC.

Can you get high off CBD?

CBD is the non-psychoactive compound found in the hemp plant. This means that CBD does not have the ability to give you a feeling of “being high.”

Hemp users report feeling relief and calmness throughout their mind and body. Feelings of paranoia and anxiety are eased away. This applies to smoking CBD hemp flower, ingesting CBD tincture, CBD gummies, and other types of hemp-derived CBD products.
